Basque Seed Netork

Our organization celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021. During these years, we have recovered over 2,000 fruit trees and seeds through our members.

We are a non-profit association committed to the cultivated biodiversity of the Basque Country. For this reason, we collaborate with over 40 different institutions to preserve this cultural, social, and natural heritage. Through ethnobotanical work, we recover the traditional knowledge of the varieties that are still preserved in this land, working towards their recovery and recognition in society.

All the work we carry out is made possible thanks to our network of volunteers who support our cause and collaborate to make the conservation of these endangered varieties a reality. They engage in conservation tasks or contribute selflessly, enabling all the work we do.
